Real Techniques

I bought my first set of Real Techniques Brushes around 2 years ago, and they've been the best make-up application tools I own! The great thing about each brush is that each one has been designed for a different purpose. Below is a list of the brushes I own (compare to photo 1, left to right)
  • Powder Brush - The largest, I use it to set my foundation with a translucent powder all over my face.
  • Blush Brush - Self explanatory (but it is super soft to use).
  • Expert Face Brush - I use this to apply liquid foundation (most used brush as it is so firm and quick)
  • Stippling Brush - Used for creating a more 'air-brushed' appearance (takes more time so I use it less regularly)
  • Foundation Brush - My least favourite, feels more like a paintbrush than a make up brush.
  • Setting Brush -  The smallest, this is perfect for applying a small amount of powder or highlighter (I mainly use it to highlight under my eyes)
So yes as you can see I love love love them! They are defiantly worth buying as the price is amazing when compared with how long they'll last you! I think I bought mine from Superdrug but they come in sets aswell, you can buy there Core Collection for £21.99 on www.boots.com.
I feel that the brushes help make my make-up look more flawless and have a softer finish, and they are so easy to use! All you have to do is google or search on youtube and everyone loves them!

Who else uses these brushes? Let me know what you think?
Love,
Emily x

  7. I saw RealTechniques on the shelf of Boots but as I was on a budget I settled for a Barry M angled brush because I was looking for something to contour with. I want to purchase their Core Collection a lot actually, and I hopefully will be able to quite soon so I can do my own review

    1. Yes, I think I started off with there Core Collection and overtime added more to the collection, they are slightly more expensive than other 'drugstore' brands but the quality is really good!
I've never seen the Barry M ones, are they good?

      I'll give you a follow

  10. Hi Emily,

I brought the RT travel essential set, mainly for the multi task brush (which you can't buy on it's own) and it's great for blush and contouring! I also love the expert face brush works so much better than a flat foundation brush.

  13. I only have the expert face brush at the moment, but I am in love with it! I use it everyday to apply my foundation. I live in France so you can't get them over here but when I'm next in England I am definitely going to pick some more up! :)
